Aubrey Maurer is an artist who splits her time between Lancaster and Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Her work weaves personal connection with fine art, drawing deeply from her home as a enduring source of inspiration. She creates abstract ceramic sculptures that are hand-built from glazed stoneware, exploring a fusion of organic and abstract forms. Her pieces convey both a grounded physicality and an understated, earthy elegance.
Aubrey sculptural and ceramic work seeks to reflect both this intimate, emotional relationship with the landscape and the broader, more universal ties between humans and nature. I strive to capture those quiet, transformative moments the awe of a sun-dappled forest, the comfort of familiar terrain, and the small, almost sacred interactions that root us in place and memory.
She believe art can act as a mirror to humanity’s complex relationship with the environment. Through organic forms, natural textures, and layered symbolism, I aim to highlight both our dependence on the Earth’s resources and the urgent need to protect them. Her work is a call for mindfulness, a reminder of the beauty we stand to lose and the responsibility we share in preserving it.
