“Returning to the Process”
Hi everyone,
It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, and I’m really excited to return to this space. I’ve been wanting to document more of my process, both for myself and for those of you who have been following along with my work.
A lot has happened since my last post. I’ve had the opportunity to exhibit my work, curate shows, and even see my pieces featured in a magazine. It’s been a period of growth, learning, and stepping into new roles as an artist, and I’m incredibly grateful for all of it.
Alongside these experiences, my work has evolved in meaningful ways. I’ve been leaning deeper into nature as both inspiration and subject, while becoming more intentional about every decision I make. Lately, I’ve been asking myself: what do I truly want the world to see and feel through my work?
One piece that really reflects this shift is Stories Beneath the Bloom. With it, I pushed myself beyond my comfort zone, especially in terms of detail, form, texture, and composition. It challenged me to slow down and be more precise, and in doing so, it opened up new possibilities in my practice.

I’ve also been spending more time experimenting with glazing. If you know me, you know it hasn’t always been my favorite part of the process, but I’m beginning to appreciate it in a new way. Through testing, patience, and a bit of trial and error, I’m starting to see how much it can transform and elevate a piece. It’s becoming something I genuinely enjoy.
Right now, I’m exploring a new glaze to add to my palette. I can be pretty stubborn when it comes to color, if I can see it in my mind, I want that exact shade. But as anyone who works with glazes knows, it doesn’t always work that way. Still, that unpredictability is part of the process.
I tend to gravitate toward earth tones and soft pastels to reflect the natural world, but currently I’m working toward a soft, natural violet, something light and organic. I think it will pair beautifully with deep greens and warm browns, and I’m really excited to see how it comes through on the piece I’m developing now.
More to come soon as I continue exploring, testing, and pushing my work forward.
